What is the Ultrasonic Fat Cavitation treatment like? 

The procedure starts and ends with circumference measurement of the target body area. Followed by the ultrasonic device directly to specific area of the skin after a gel is applied, continues with circular movements of the applicator over the treatment site. Combined with  Radio Frequency, a handheld piece is used which is slowly rotated over the targeted area, transmitting radio waves to the skin heating it 40 to 50 degrees Celsius without burning the skin surface. The heat causes contraction of the collagen fibers to immediately tighten the skin. Duration of treatment session normally takes around 45- 60 

minutes each depending on the size of the area and the thickness of the fat layer. Results can sometimes be noticed after the first treatment with more improvement noticed within a few days. 6 - 12 sessions at 3 days intervals are recommended in order to achieve an ideal result, but further treatments may be needed to attain your desired figure.  

**It is important to note that the success is the highest when the procedure is done continually and moderately.

What can one expect with the results?

The fat cavitation therapy treatment yields immediate and long lasting results. Ultrasound Fat Cavitation therapy is a very effective procedure that requires minimum of  6-12 treatments. Most of the clients experience noticeable circumference reduction after a single session with increasing results after each visit. The results may vary with different tissue structure, treatment area, age, metabolism, medications, and changes in hormones. Proper diet and increased physical activity will certainly improve and help to maintain the results. 

 How does it feel during the Ultrasound Fat Cavitation Therapy and RF treatment? 

Most people feel the treatment is painless and comfortable. Some people may feel slight discomfort due to the specific noise spreading inside the body, but causes no, harm and disappears as soon as the applicator is moved away from body. You may also experience warmth during the treatment. If on the slim chance it gets too warm you can request, immediately some extra ultrasound gel to be applied.

Can anyone have the treatment done?

For the most part, anyone looking to reduce fat and cellulite are a good candidate for Ultrasound Cavitation. However, anyone with a pacemaker, cardiac or vascular disease, and women who are pregnant should not have the treatment done. If you have a medical condition, your technician will advise you to consult your physician before your treatment. People who are  generally healthy are safe to have the treatment

**People with cardiac and vascular diseases, diabetes, acute illness, comprised liver function, severe bleeding tendencies,  pacemaker carriers and women who are pregnant or breastfeeding should avoid undergoing the procedure 

 Is Ultrasound Fat Cavitation therapy & RF painful? 

Fat Cavitation therapy and  RF is a painless treatment. Mild redness may appear occasionally but will be highly unlikely to cause any actual pain. The heat from the hand pieces felt during the treatment is perfectly tolerable. 

Does it work on Cellulite?

Yes, in most cases this is a low frequency ultrasound cavitation which generally works on cellulite by focusing on “cavitation effect” on the fat tissue while causing the skin to tighten. Cellulite is a very individualized problem and 70% of the clients get good results. 

 Is Ultrasound Fat Cavitation therapy & RF safe? Are there any side effects?

Ultra Cavitation is a safe, nonsurgical procedure without anesthesia, it is non-invasive ,no cutting,  no scars and no downtime should be experienced after the treatment. Due to specific ultrasound parameters of energy levels ensure selective damage to fat cells only and  do not interfere with any other organs. There is no report of side effects for these treatments. However some people may experience transient redness, excessive thirst, and nausea immediately after the treatment which always resolves by drinking water. They are all short-term effects that will disappear shortly. 

What long-term results can I expect with ultrasound fat cavitation therapy?

You can achieve “volume reduction” of fatty tissues and “toning of the body.” The results are gradual over a number of weeks as your body clears the broken-down fatty tissues. It is not uncommon to achieve up to 10 cm. reduction by the end of the treatment course. The results can be long-lasting provided you follow a healthy diet and exercise program. However it is very easy to deposit fat again into the tissues if one overeats, consumes too much alcohol, or doesn’t exercise. Ultimately the result may vary depending on the individual’s tissue structure, treatment area, age, metabolism, medication, and changes in hormones. 


What are the potential side-effects?

While side effects are rarely reported, they occur occasionally, and usually involve a slight redness or irritation of the skin that resolves within a few hours. There is also a potential to feel an increase in energy, since the body will naturally attempt to use some of the energy reserves released from the fat. Independent studies have shown a decrease in cholesterol and triglyceride levels, which seem to be further enhanced with the addition of dietary supplements. Here are some side effects that I have observed from working with ultrasonic cavitation in my spa:

  • Increased thirst (which makes the requirement for increased water consumption much easier!)
  • Slight headache beginning a few hours after treatment (presumably due to the release of toxins from the fat cells)
  • Decreased appetite & decreased capacity for over-eating (presumably due to toning/tightening effect on the stomach)
